She was short. That's the first thought that processed through the Witch's head. The second; was that the kid was absolutely crazy. Then the last thought was that she must have been dared to come here. To dare approach the border line of her barrier; this brought a truly rare smile to the Witch's face. She sighed loud enough for the girl to hear her, which, of course; made the child jump lightly and look in her direction. What happened next would change both of their lives for eternity.
"I know you are there!" the child called out, her hands hugged against her chest. Her face was red, either from the heat or maybe it was fear and a mix of shyness.
"What do you want? I don't run a child center," The Witch was now behind the female, "This is no place for a child." A small laugh came after the statement, it was a cold bitter laugh.
I'm here to ask you to teach me." She stuttered once, then straightened, trying to hide her fear.
